The Rockwood Fossils Park with the Petrified Wood Museum (อุทยานไม้กลายเป็นหิน) contain a collection of petrified wood and fossils found around Nakhon Ratchasima, dug out from depths until 6 m. They vary from the size of pebbles to pieces of more than 50 cm. in diameter with length of over one meter. More than 10,000 pieces have been discovered so far ranging from 1 to 70 million years old. The Museum displays fossils documenting prehistoric live in this area.
